Customer Review This is a "must own" for any serious movie buff - 3.5 out of 5  (4/22/2003) The playwrite Peter Schaffer was reading the newspaper in England one morning when he came across the story of a teenage boy who had blinded several horses with a metal spike. Not kill the horses - but blind them. He wrote a play to explain why the kid did it. Richard Burton is astonishing late in his career, and Peter Firth is so GOOD as the boy, it RUINED his career. No extra features is a bummer, but I was sure this movie would never make the conversion to DVD, so I'm elated it exists at all   more >>
