Empire Review A perfect Film - 3.5 out of 5  (5/21/2003) I once had a reader (I do have a couple besides my mother) write in and ask me if I could go one whole review without mentioning The Ransom of Red Chief as a basis for the story. Well, I had little to say other than to defend myself in that I only call em like I see em and that great story by O' Henry is a timeless classic that has been the basis for many films as well as articles, comic book stories and other such things. You should at least give it a rental first, you will not be disappointed!   more >> Customer Review I can't believe it's not anamorphic - 3.25 out of 5  (7/7/2003) I can't believe that after this long in the DVD game, Disney chose not to release this title in anamorphic widescreen. It's in widescreen, but it looks awful on a widescreen television. This is a wonderful movie, but I can't recommend this disc to anyone except a diehard fan.   more >>
