Good film, disappointing disc - 2.5 out of 5 (5/22/2003)
HEAVYWEIGHTS is a curious little movie.
The entire premise of the film is that it's okay to be fat, but they spend way too much time making heartless fat jokes at the expense of those kids they are actually standing up for.
But I guess in some ways that they way that life is and that really shouldn't make anyone want to avoid this film, In fact, quite the opposite because it is a family film with a real message and that underlying message is what comes out at the end of the film.
