America's Most Wanted - 4.5 out of 5 (3/25/2002)
As a movie fan who almost always sees every major movie in the theater during the first few weeks of the film's release, I can't believe I let Bandits slip by me the first time around. Perhaps it was the less-than-enthusiastic response it got from the movie-going public or the trailers that make the movie look like every other buddy picture that has come down the pike in the past 20 years, but as I went to review the DVD of Bandits, I simply was not expecting very much.

The biggest surprise in a long time! GREAT! - 4.5 out of 5 (5/10/2002)
The commercials didn't reel me in when Bandits was at the theaters so I waited patiently for the film to hit DVD. Even though it wasn't long between theater and DVD appearances I had almost forgotten about Bandits when it was released. So, as you can tell, I wasn't hyped for this movie that I had heard very little about. Little did I know that I was about to watch one of the funniest movies that I had seen in a very long time. Starts Off Promising - 3.25 out of 5 (4/11/2002)
I wanted to like this movie. I started watching it and enjoyed the first half hour. After that I kept looking at the clock to see how much time was left. I lost interest in this movie pretty quickly. The DD 5.1 is adequate. This is not a movie that requires a lot of surround usage. When a action scene is shown the audio packs a punch. The video is also pretty clear and sharp. There are also some extra features to boot on the disc.

I wonder how starved people are for good entertainment. This movie put me to sleep and Iwanted to like it. A snorefest!
