Magnificent, but do we need it? - 4.75 out of 5 (5/21/2003)
The history of the X-MEN has not been a good one.
Originally, the comic book appeared in 1963 and it never became one of
Marvels' bigger sellers. In fact it limped along for years until they
decided to forgo new issues in favor of reprints.
But then Marvel decided to take a chance with the book. The decided to
print a single giant issue introducing a new team and the feeling at that
time was that it would go no further than sending the series off with a
bang.

X-Men 1.5 - B+ - 4.5 out of 5 (4/3/2003)
Took me 7 hours to get straight through everything on the second disc. The commentary was interesting. Picture and sound are terrific. However, they still didn't re-edit the film with the extra footage promised. Therefore, if you're a fan, and you collect, go for it. If not ... wait. It's foretold thier will be another version of this film on DVD.
