Better than I expected - 4 out of 5 (5/22/2003)
I would like to start off with a snazzy lead like "HALLOWEEN; RESURRECTION
is a cut above the standard sequel!"
But truthfully I can't come up with some sort of line like that because it
isn't a cut above. It isn't a cut below either which makes it just about on
par with most of the other horror sequels they are pouring out lately.
I do give it points though because the story does hold together well, and
it's got some genuine frights in it. They are all the more impressive

As with any movie franchise that is nearing the double-digit mark, it proves tougher and tougher to try to bring something new to the table. Filmmakers, writers, producers, etc., seemingly are always deemed to add another notch to all ready squealed-to-death series. Such is the case with the classic Halloween franchise.
However, instead of attempting to put Michael Myers (aka: The Shape) into such silly realms as outer space (a la Friday the 13th's Jason Voorhees) Halloween 2

Grasping at straws? - 3 out of 5 (1/25/2003)
I have to agree with Shannon's comments completely, she hit the nail right on the head. I wasnt head over heals for H20 either, but at least Jamie Lee returned to complete the story and she got her mother Janet in for a cameo. But, just like too many horror movies today, they try to draw a young audience with a cast of already well known personalities, reguardless if they can act or not. I actually liked Busta Rymes's acting in this movie, up until the end where they obviously tried to make him
