XXX marks the spot - 4.25 out of 5 (5/22/2003)
If X marks the spot, then XXX blows it to hell.
I saw this film the opening weekend and part of me said "Yeah, Right" while
the other part of me said "YEAH RIGHT!"
Thankfully the latter part won because had I listened to my head, I would
have missed out on one of the more exciting adrenaline rushes of the year.
That being said, if you are looking for a movie with "Thee's" and "Thou's",

Now I am a huge action fan. Actually, I do not even mind Vin Diesel that much. But if anyone can sit through this overblown excuse for an action movie, all the power to you. Save your cash and convince your wife to watch Point Break instead. I can suspend belief for two hours that includes dinosaurs, stormtroopers and elves but snowboarding that outpaces an avalanche?? Do bad guy snowmobiles have a 30 MPH bad guy limit in the snow?? Why put a poison whose biggest antidote is water on a subm

Greta action! - 4 out of 5 (1/13/2003)
This movie was a really pleasant surprise. It is very well done cinematographically and even the acting is not too bad.It is of course a complete Bond rip-off-there is a russian spy girl, a ski chase, an attempt to cause holocaust and so forth, but it is dramatically better than the few last Bond movies.

At times during the stunts i thought i was watching one of those terrible bollywood movies,the stunts in this film are that bad,the wisecracks are just poor,and Deisel is bland.Give me Bond anytime.
