Empire Review The Night Owl Is Watching - 3.75 out of 5  (2/19/2002) Director Michelle Soavi began his career as a protégé actor under Dario Argento and he learned his craft well. So well in fact that he became the first of a new series of Director's in the Giallo series. STAGEFRIGHT was his first film as a director and though the film does have some faults, none of them includes the Directing.
