Empire Review Worse than I remembered - 3.5 out of 5  (4/13/2002) Time does strange things to film tastes and THE JANUARY MAN is one of the best examples I can think of. I remember seeing the film for the first time and thinking it was a great film that had touches of brilliance and some of the strangest and best acting and casting that I had ever seen. In short I loved the film. But watching it again last night, I was troubled with some of the holes in the plot.
