Empire Review Ace ventura 3? - 3.25 out of 5  (5/22/2003) FRANK McKLUSKY C.I. wants to be the next ACE VENTURA so badly that you can almost hear the butts talking in the background. But, as close as the film is in tone to those two unforgettable movies, Dave Sheridan is no Jim Carrey, which means that he is still a helluva lot funnier than most comedians today, but you have to wonder what he was thinking when he decided to try and fun side by side with the master of goofy comedies.
