Some Joker listed this as full-screen!!! - 4 out of 5 (4/25/2002)
So, they finally decided to release Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker in all its uncut glory, and man am I cheesed! ("Cheesed" is Pennsylvania Geek speak for excited.) I was fortunate enough to get my hands on one of the early test copies of this film in it's uncut version, but I am happy to upgrade my old VHS copy for this beautiful DVD edition.
When they first released the edited version of this flick on DVD, to say there was some controversy is an understatement. 30-year-old comic

Chilling, haunting & sure fire animation - 4.75 out of 5 (11/4/2002)
An absolute gem in storytelling. The fans of Batman Beyond & Bruce Timm will not be disappointed in any way. The plot has twists galore with nuances & flashbacks to the original Bruce Wayne Batman storylines. The tie-ins with Barbara Gordon, Tim Drake/ Robin & the Joker are superbly done. The pace of the movie is quick & brisk and the voices on this movie are dead on as far as setting the mood. This is by far one of the best animated super hero cartoons I have ever seen. The commentary beh

Finally! The original Uncut has come back to.......... - 4.5 out of 5 (5/17/2002)
DVD! Great movie but Sad to say that this dvd featured nothing new except the uncut version. I found that the uncut wasn't as colorful as the edit version. But still, the animation transfer looked nice. This movie still ranks to the top a little behind Mask of the Phantasm due to the fact that Mask of the Phantasm was a new Batman story that was creatively made. I don't agree too much on this film being to violent for the kids, in the tv shows Terry bleeds at times, he gets shocked alot, hell! h

On par with the edited version - definately not for kiddies! - 3.75 out of 5 (5/15/2002)
After hearing all about the "unedited" version of the Batman Beyond movie, I'm relieved to hear that Warner Brothers had the courage to make that version available for the true Batman fans.
Make no mistake, folks, this Joker is almost as deadly and ruthless as the comic book version. (Pick up a copy of "The Killing Joke" if you want to see just how sick the Joker can be in the DC Comics.) The original flashback scene with the original "cape and cowl" group was true to the comics, especially
