But, at second thought, I have to put more thought into it.
Which would make it third, fourth and so on and so forth...
Anyways, if you think about it: this was a film that inspired a whole slew of knock-off movies all centered on the same revenge motif. It is also as notorious a film as there ever was.
Protested by every major film critic in the country an

I remember being eleven years old and seeing this film on the shelf in the local video store. I was itching to rent this but I was just too darn young (thankfully). Well, years later, in the year 2000, it was time to give this title a rent. But to my dismay, this film was available in no video store whatsoever! Not one! As I searched for it at video stores, I also researched, reading about this movie on the internet. I learned that this movie had legitimately been banned in several countri

Classic film finally gets its due! - 5 out of 5 (3/31/2003)
I originally wrote a long review of the first Elite release defending the film.Since that versions now OOP & not listed anymore.I don't feel like rewritting it all.
So in short this SE release is excellent in every sense of the word. The film is restored beautifully with vivid color compared to extremely grainy dark colorless past releases. It looks as if it were filmed today!
The originial mono soundtrack sounds excellent.Very powerful in it's simple use of subtle sounds of nature(wind,bi
