Empire Review Shut up Chevy - 3.5 out of 5  (3/18/2002) People look upon NATIONAL LAMPOON'S EURIOPEAN VACATION as the bastard redheaded stepchild of the series. But in truth, I think the film comes in third in the scheme of how funny the series is. The original VACATION will always be the best and CHRISTMAS VACATION is a favorite because it tends to be a holiday film that really hits home, but VEGAS VACATION is easily the worst of all of them and it just proves that you can only go so far with this type of film.
