Empire Review Is a sequel to a sucky movie a good idea? - 4 out of 5  (2/7/2002) Okay. So we have a movie called MANGLER 2, which is the supposed sequel to the original MANGLER (which is not on DVD. We should be grateful for that!) But this movie is more similar to the LAWNMOWER MAN (which also has a sequel that is not out on DVD and we should be thankful for that!) It also brings to mind an old horror movie called CHOPPING MALL (which should be on DVD!), which was a similar low-budget film with a promising young cast and some cheesy special effects.
