Christopher Lee's fang-tastic, first-ever performanceias theiLord of theiUndead.
Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing, Britain's premier masters of the macabre, bring the Horror of Dracula to vivid, full-color death in this retelling of Bram Stoker's spellbinding vampire tale. Dracula (Lee), a centuries-old nobleman damned to an eternal half-life, travels from his native Transylvania to London. In the lurid nightlife of his adopted city, he find new victims. He also finds Dr. Van Helsing (Cushing), a scientist who becomes the Count's implacable foe in a deadly game of bat-and-mouse.
The dread is here -- as are the power and pathos of this genre landmark by which Hammer Studios ushered in a new era of screen chills from classic evildoers. Tremble through that era again. Unleash the horror.

Finally! - 3.25 out of 5 (11/18/2002)
There are so many of the horror classics that I'm sure I saw as a kid that I no longer remember seeing that I need to catch up to them all nowadays. Take this one, for example. I seem to remember it airing quite a bit on New York's Channel 9, WOR-TV, but can't for the life of me remember sitting down to watch it. I suppose now with DVD, digital satellite and cable, Turner Classic Movies to be precise, it's great to be able to watch a classic older film at ant point in the day - restored, uncu

Unleash The Horror - 5 out of 5 (10/16/2003)
With the box-office success of "The Curse Of Frankenstein," the next logical step was to go full steam ahead with "The Horror Of Dracula."
This is the Dracula film that really took us into a new world of horror films. The DVD is fantastic, and yet, chilling.
The Horrorific & Most Fantastic Film in Motion Picture History!!!!!

Nice To Finally See This One On DVD - 3.5 out of 5 (10/7/2002)
For horror fans, Dracula fans, and fans of Christopher Lee alike, this film has been sorely "missing in action" for far too long on dvd. Christopher Lee is at least as known for his portrayal of the Count as Bela Lugosi is, and many prefer Lee's menacing, full-color threat to Lugosi's to be sure. Peter Cushing as the stalwart Professor Van Helsing is great as well; indeed, the pairing of Cushing and Lee is renowned, they starred in many of Hammer Films Dracula incarnations, as well as the clas
