Customer Review A Classic Rock Opera has NEVER looked better - 4 out of 5  (3/22/1999) I was very excited when I heard that Jesus Christ Superstar was going to be released on dvd. I was too young to ever get to see it at the theatre. It has always been one of my favorite Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals. I was certainly not disappointed at the DVD. Besides being in Widescreen (which I have never seen this movie in) the colors were fantastic. The picture was sharp, crisp and the sound was wonderful.
