Love isia game. Easyito start. Hardito finish.
Romance in the '90s is where you find it. But what do you do to make it happen in today's hilariously mixed-up Singles world?
A stellar cast joins writer/director Cameron Crowe in this sweet, funny tale of Seattle twentysomethings searching for - and running from - love. Among the players: Matt Dillon as a romantically aloof rocker, Bridget Fonda as his lovestruck neighbor, Kyra Sedgwick, Campbell Scott, Sheila Kelley and Bill Pullman. Applauded by critics and audiences of all ages, Singles is for anyone who's walked through that minefield called dating...and on occasion been blown up.

Great Music, Great Characters, Great Script - 4 out of 5 (2/25/1999)
Everything Cameron Crowe touches turns to gold. From "Fast Times" to "Say Anything" to "Jerry Maguire", his movies always have characters that we can relate to, and who are always saying the most interesting things. "Singles" is no exception. The story is set Seattle in the early 1990's, during the burgeoning "grunge" music scene, and Crowe takes advantage of this by featuring live performances by Soundgarden and Alice in Chains. The members of Pearl Jam even get bit acting parts! Singles i
