Runnin with ronin! - 4 out of 5 (9/25/2000)
The term "Ronin" has been bandied about several times in the connection with samurai warriors in the past few years. Most took it to be a sign of reverence or honor, but those who have seen early Kurosawa know that the term is anything but.
So, it seems little surprise that the anti-heroes of "Ronin" are men without honor and without regrets. The stage is set early in the film as we see the group of five men come together and we know that not one of them trusts any of the others. The goal is

Ronin - 4 out of 5 (3/9/1999)

Wow - 4 out of 5 (3/8/2001)
Car chases. I could recommend buying the disc based on that alone, but the Frankenheimer commentary during the chases teaches you quite a bit, so that adds to it. Add great characters (cliched as they may be) and you've got a great action film worth watching over and over. Besides, the menus are great with the car POV and pulsing music.
