Customer Review Best family film to date... - 5 out of 5  (11/19/1999) One True Thing will make u cry,will make u think about ur mother once more. Merly Streep is wonderful as mother and Renee is also great as an ambitious daughter of her. She does not want to be like her mother. But when his mother becomes cancer everything changes. Ending is really moving.I myself nearly cried at the end. Audio and video were great.Behind the scenes feature was also entertaining. A must have!!   more >> Customer Review One of the best movies of 1998 - 4.25 out of 5  (5/1/1999) One True Thing is one of my favorite movies of 1998! It will move you, touch you, make you cry and never look at your mum the same way again. Acted by a superior cast notably Meryl Streep, the tragedy as well as tenderness is superbly delivered. Carl Franklin did a terrific job and special mention also goes to Renee Zellwegger, who is magnificent in her role of the unwilling daughter who doesn't want to be like her Mum.
