A truly warm and loving movie. - 4 out of 5 (9/22/2003)
In an age where it is easier to get lost in subplots than it is driving in a foreign country, it is nice to have films that discard pretense and allow the viewer to flow, as if a river, through the landscape of the story. This is the case with How to Make An American Quilt, a film staring Winnona Rider along with such heavy weights as Anne Bancroft, Ellen Bernstyn, and Mya Angelou.
