"The Maximum Force of theiFuture."
On a remote stretch of deserted highway, a band of violent bikers has taken over, attacking anyone unlucky enough to cross their savage path. Racing up and down the seemingly endless miles of asphalt, the crazed outlaws blaze through small towns, plowing into vehicles and pedestrians alike with reckless abandon. Bringing a sense of law to this lawlessness are the mobile police force led by Max (Gibson) and Goose (Steve Bisley), who are as fast and mean as their adversaries and are willing to do whatever it takes to cut the enemy down.

It's the duck's guts, Max! - 3.5 out of 5 (12/1/2000)
This really is one of the best films ever produced in Australia. A fantastic example of what can be done on a minimal budget. Very well acted with a great music score and excellent use of locations all put together with razor sharp editing. Only demerit point is that it's the version with the horrible American dubbing. I find it incredible that a film made in english should have to be dubbed so that people who speak english can understand it?

When God said - 3 out of 5 (4/14/1999)
When God said "Let there be action films" he said Lethal Weapon, The Road Warrior, Die Hard and T2. But before he said those he said the first, maybe the best, and definatley the most underrated action film of all time....(drumroll) Mad Max.
Mad Max is a film which so many people dump on without ever seeing it (How many people do you know think Hellraiser is about a guy with pins in his head, proof they never saw it)
This is a great example of action films. It proves that you don't need just g
