Empire Review Holy Blankman! - 3.5 out of 5  (1/7/2002) BLANKMAN owes more than a few passing nods of credit towards the old BATMAN television series. The film takes its entire premise off the television show, and then it turns an already campy idea on its ear. Damon Wayans co-wrote the script and he takes one of his more successful IN LIVING COLOR characters and makes it into a movie. Does it work? Well, it does partly.
