It' s been used to great effect in IT'S A MAD, MAD, MAD WORLD and to lousy effect in countless other movies like MILLION DOLLAR MYSTERY. RAT RACE falls somewhere in between the two. The setup is simple: a bored millionaire offers twelve people a chance to race from Las Vegas to New Mexico to open a locker containing two million dollars in cold hard cash. I didn't think a movie based on Its a Mad, mad, mad, mad world could top the original - and it didn't. But its still funnier than alot of the rubbish around at the moment that all copy American Pie (which was great). Rowan Atkinson was wasted again in one of his 'dumb' roles - check him out in the Blackadder series - he's so much better when he's sarcastic and clever.   more >>
