Empire Review PAVILION OF WOMEN - 3 out of 5  (5/31/2002) Everyone complains that there is not enough good storytelling in films today, then a fine film like PAVILION OF WOMEN (2001) comes out and goes virtually unnoticed. Even though it is based on a Pearl S. Buck's well-known book, this just did not get the kind of promotion it deserved. Now, it is a DVD you are probably going to want to get.
