Empire Review My pick as best horror film of the year - 4 out of 5  (1/9/2002) Brant: "Why do they want me? I'm not a virgin." Dickie: "Please. You are just oozing virginity." And so begins one of the odder conversations in THE CONVENT, which is my personal pick as the best Horror/Comedy/Action film this year. The best part of this movie is that it doesn't take itself too seriously. The film lightens us with that retro feel of 80's horror movies that we miss so dearly. Everything from neat neon effects to the convent itself is cool. If you miss that feel of 80's style horror or if you just want to watch people kicking zombie nun ass, THIS IS THE FILM FOR YOU!   more >>
