JAWS: THE REVENGE - 3.5 out of 5 (6/9/2001)
JAWS: THE REVENGE
What is quicker than a locomotive, faster than a speeding bullet, stands erect from the ocean for at least 5 seconds and even roars? Yep, you guessed it! A great white shark in the WARM waters of the Bahamas! Suuuuure that's riiiiiight! But this is NOT a documentary on shark life cycles or realistic occurrences, now is it? This is set to entertain you not teach you. And the film did that for 91 minutes. You get to watch a shark use telekinetic powers and make it's reve

The picture was good! - 3 out of 5 (5/6/2000)
Okay, this movie sucked. If you ever read the novel, it is much better than the movie. The picture is probally the best I have ever seen for a DVD, hardly any grain and the colors were nice and vivid. The sound was good too, nice and clear. Of course, no extras, not even a trialer! Just for laughs, freeze frame when the shark blows up and when the shark roars, you can see mechanical equipment inside the mouth. I also have this taped off TBS where they show the ending where Jake doesn't survive.

A trash classic, presented very nicely on DVD - 3 out of 5 (2/24/1999)
OK, the shark looks fake, the story is horrendous and the acting is appaling. But, there is a great deal of enjoyment to get out of this little film.
Presented in widescreen for the first time ever, the aspect ratio is 2.35:1, not 1.85:1. Colours are excellent and vibrant; there is a sharp clean picture, free of nicks and dirt. An outstanding transfer, and I hope to see the rest of the Jaws films, along with the original Alligator and Piranha with the same great transfers very soon on DVD.
