Woo Hoo! - 3.75 out of 5 (7/27/2000)
I just finished watching all I could stand of "Battlefield Earth" and though I hated the movie beyond belief, I had to admit that the idea of seeing John Travolta as the bad guy was kind of appealing.
When I got home, I realized why. It was because he was a better bad guy at least twice before in two movies that were much better. The long and short of this lesson, John, is that you shouldn't base your movie roles on your religion, and you really ought to look up John Woo again!

More unrealistic than the average Action film but fun nonetheless! - 4.25 out of 5 (9/20/1999)
This is a fun action movie to watch but doesn't quite compare to the likes of Face Off or Con Air. While the movie is a blast to watch you can't help but laugh every now and then. For example, when Christian Slater manages to run on foot from place to place to catch the bad guys when they spent the same amount of time getting there in a Jeep. Slater may be fast but this is like Superman fast. All of this can easily be looked over just to see John Travolta be the cocky bad guy with great one

"Ain't it Cool?"-On DVD you bet it is. - 4.25 out of 5 (7/14/1999)
"Broken Arrow" marked director John Woo's return to the american movie market after his 1993 debut, "Hard Target". The result was one of the best, biggest, and most thrilling kick-ass rides of 1996. Who could resist to see nice-guy John Travolta play a villian? His character in "Pulp Fiction" may have been a thug, but his Vincent Vega was a man who had feelings underneath. Here, he's a plain and simple maniac, and he's great to watch. Travolta plays Vic Deakins, an air force pilot who has stolen
