Restored, Uncut Original Version!
One of the world's most acclaimed comedies, M*A*S*H focuses on three Korean War Army surgeons brilliantly brought to life by Donald Sutherland, Tom Skerritt and Elliott Gould. Though highly skilled and deeply dedicated, they adopt a hilarious, lunatic lifestyle as an antidote to the tragedies of their Mobile Army Surgical Hospital, and in the process infuriate Army bureaucrats. Robert Duvall, Gary Burghoff and Sally Kellerman co-star as a sanctimonious Major, an other-worldly Corporal, and a self-righteous yet lusty nurse.

Five star indeed - 5 out of 5 (12/26/2001)
MASH is more than a movie. It's a phenomenon. If you look at the list of
accomplishments: it looks something like this:
The movie ran for a year and a half in the theaters and it was nominated
for five Academy Awards. It won one for best screenplay and it still is
considered one of the best of Robert Altman's films.
The television show that was based on the movie just recently lost the
crown of the longest running show on television. It ran for 250 consecutive
episodes, which lasted

A Wonderful Film and An Outstanding DVD Package - 4.5 out of 5 (1/19/2002)
I can vividly remember watching MASH in 1970 in a cinema in Melbourne and being initially shocked at the amount of blood - but afterall, how else were they to depict a Medical Corp in wartime with a fold up medical unit in the middle of South
Korea, dealing with an endless stream of wounded ?
This gore was essential to this hilarios film - it kept reminding us that there was a war going -
and stopped MASH from decending into just another comedy. Yet it was this very thing that had studio

A must have - 3.75 out of 5 (1/10/2002)
This DVD deserves a place in any DVD library. It's truly one of the best comedies of all time. Based on the Korean War, it was actually made as a statement against the Vietnam War. Filmed in California and brought in under budget, it was originally banned from showing by several branches of the military. It quickly became a true American classic and helped launch one of the most succesful TV series of all time. Both the video and audio of this restored, uncut DVD have been well done. The bonus f
