This Much Fun Can't Be Legal.
To corrupt railroad barons, Jesse James and Cole Younger are meddlers, troublemakers, ingrates and candidates for rope neckties. To the downtrodden folks in and around Liberty, Missouri, they're something far different. Heroes.
Jess, Cole and their rough-and-ready gang ride to the rescue of farmers terrorized by a railroad's land-grab scheme in American Outlaws, a dust-and-thunder update of Western lore starring Colin Farrell (Tigerland) as charismatic fiery Cole and Ali Larter (Final Destination) as Jesse's gutsy wife Zee. "If I were to design the perfect outlaw band," Detective Allan Pinkerton (Timothy Dalton) says, "this gang is what I would create." He may not have created it. But he sure has his hands full dealing with it.

Much more than I expected - 5 out of 5 (11/21/2001)
History has a strange way of rewriting itself sometimes, but I think the
secret to history has always been that it's in the eye of the beholder.
The legend of Jesse James has always been one that changes as you cross the
Mason-Dixon line. Most people know him as a bank robbing ruthless killer and
that is because of the dime store novels that painted that portrait. But my
Uncle who is from down south loves to tell a different story about a man who
fought for the Union Army and then came

New twist on an old tale. - 4 out of 5 (8/12/2002)
I found this re-telling of the James-Younger tale to be exciting and fresh with a group of newer actors just coming into their own. Of course, every time a story is done again, it changes. But this time it was a good change. One of my favs is the Long Riders w/their use of actual brothers. Although these boys are not blood-related, the comraderie is just as close. And Colin Farrell is pure eye-candy!
