How can you destroy an army that's already dead?
Listen up, you primitive screwheads!
At long last, here is the closest thing to an "official" Director's Cut of "Army" that you'll ever find. Personally, I think there is always merit in any version of a film that preserves what the makers intended. So, for your consideration, we submit the REAL film, complete with the original ending, which I think is far more appropriate.
On behalf of Sam Raimi and Robert Taperi, I'd like to thank all of you fans (you know who you are) for your loyal support of this ridiculous series of films - you are directly responsible for the demand to make this version available. May you revel in 96 minutes of excess and may you never run out of sugar... baby!
-Bruce Campbell

Good movie horrible video quality - 3.25 out of 5 (7/11/2003)
This movie is the most complete in the Evil Dead series. Bruce Campbell is hilarious in his third portrayal as Ash. Plenty of laughs and scares in this one. I must, however, warn of the poor video qualtiy in this film. A little grain can add to a horror film but when you can barely tell what's going on, you've got a problem. There are certain points in this film in which my eyes were strained to the max trying to figure out what was going on. If this can be overlooked there is a very enjoyable

Excellent Film - 3.25 out of 5 (11/6/2002)
Army of Darkness may just be one of my favorite films. This is why I was disappointed to see it slaughtered to death in this DVD.
The DVD has no glitches or anything like that. It's just the director's cut. I knew this when buying, so it's more my fault. I love the movie still, but it's just the adding of unsequential shots and scenes that make it long and boring.
Shots go for longer (in particular the windmill scene). There's a lot more slapstick added in the windmill scene - no complai
