Empire Review LAST WAVE - 2.5 out of 5  (3/11/2002) Peter Weir is not my favorite director, especially based on his films in America. Not only did I think THE TRUMAN SHOW (1998) was drawn-out, overrated melodrama that tried so hard to be profound and a comedy at the same time, but fell on its face and failed to pull of that strange trick of cinematic alchemy of turning Jim Carrey into Tom Hanks. GREEN CARD (1990) was even sillier, while FEARLESS (1993) was somewhat ambitious, yet confused. DEAD POETS SOCIETY (1989) is so evil and dreadf   more >> Customer Review The last wave - 5 out of 5  (2/12/2003) Richard is my favourite actor and i watch this film and it was really great i love richard very much with all my heart and soul.His one of the best actors i have seen.I loved richard since i was 2 years old.His career is excellent his a very good man and also i would love to meet him one day and hug him.I love all his work.And i have photos of richard all over my room.And i have all his films including the last wave.His an excellent actor i say his one of the best of all the actors.   more >>
