Synopsis
"Angelina Jolie Delivers! She's The Ultimate Superhero" -Sandie Newton, CBS-TV

Lara Croft, the world's most famous video-game heroine, burst onto the big screen in "...the most stylish and entertaining action-adventure movie in years!"

Exploring lost empires, finding priceless treasures, punishing villains in mortal combat.. It's all in a day's work for adventurer Lara Croft (Angelina Jolie). But a secret from her father's (Jon Voight) past is about to lead Lara to her greatest challenge: the Triangle Of Light, a legendary artifact with the power to alter space and time. Lara must find the Triangle before it falls into the clutches of the Illuminati, a secret society bent on world domination. To stop the Illuminati, Lara will have to survive a cross-continental chase filled with unimaginable danger. But for the Tomb Raider, danger is the name of the game.

Laras front...er back! - 4.5 out of 5  (11/12/2001)
Most of the reviews that I have read on LARA CROFT TOMB RAIDER have had one thing in common. These guys seem to be more concerned with the size of Lara's frontal attributes than with the film itself. Now, I will not say that those are the very two things that caused my initial interest in the character because while I am a critic, I am also a man. But, I do have to admit that my interest in the padded bra stopped roughly two seconds after the beginning of the film. The opening sequence was t   more >>

Better than I expected - 4.5 out of 5  (9/16/2002)
I held off buying this because so many critics said it sucked. Yes, the story is "out there", but this IS Lara Croft after all. I've played all the Tomb Raider games, and this movie is no more far-fetched than any of the storylines in the games. Anyone who dissed the movie because of the "farfetched" storyline should stick to reality-based documentaries. If you like fantasy, action-adventure, and the Tomb Raider games, I recommend this! Angelina Jolie is perfect as Lara. The guy who plays L   more >>

HORRIBLE! - 1 out of 5  (2/16/2002)

DON'T listen to critics.... - 4 out of 5  (1/4/2002)
Another misunderstood movie... I don't know why critics say this movie is so bad, when it isn't. First of all, if they expect that all movies are so great, then every movie should be made to win an Oscar... Movies like this one are made to let people have a really good time, not all the movies are meant to be epics like GLADIATOR or BRAVEHEART, or dramas like GONE WITH THE WIND... With all that said, this movie is truly good, and is one of the best of the summer hits, that went so dissapo   more >>
