Losers in life, winners in love - 3.75 out of 5 (12/26/2001)
As the song goes, FRANKIE AND JOHNNY were lovers, and the world loves a pair
of lovers, but the stage play of FRANKIE AND JOHNNY AT THE CLAIR DE LUNE
looked upon them both as a pair of losers stuck in a life that they couldn't
escape, and therefore they were lucky to find love at all.
The film version of FRANKIE AND JOHNNY differs from that original plot in
many respects, the most of which is the two leads are played by actors who
