Evil risesito new heights.
When Commissaire Pierre Niemans (Jean Reno), France's leading serial killer investigator, is called to investigate a grisly murder, he enters a world of secrets, lies and unthinkable horrors. The dead, whose hands and eyes have been removed, are clues to a terrible tradition the killer can no longer bear. Each murder means something more; each victim, a guilty conspirator in a grand immoral experiment.
Filled with blood-chilling suspense, twisted turns and breathtaking locations, this tense thriller has the style, action and intelligence to keep you wondering what's really happening right up until the shocking conclusion.

Kept me on the edge of my chair begining to end. - 4.75 out of 5 (12/3/2002)
Where to start? First the music, I wish that I could find a soundtrack for this. The suspense in this movie was brutal. I have watched this movie 5 times and I still can't find it in myself to use the remote to jump the dull chapters. The film was directed well and the editing is a miracle of genius. Jean Reno's character put him to the test as only a great actor could pull off. The English dubbing is first class. The slang equivalent to the French sounded like a real American made movie.

This is what Hannibal should have been like. - 4.75 out of 5 (12/15/2001)
It has the suspense that Hannibal doesn't. I loved every minute of it. Best French movie I've ever seen. The only problem I see is no subtitles for the audio commentary which is in french.
