Customer Review Excellent movie, bad DVD! - 2.75 out of 5  (2/18/2003) The American President is perhaps the best romantic comedy drama ever released. It's intelligent, humorous, and powerful at the same time. Unfortunately the same can not be said for this mediocre DVD. Included is a horrendous 2.35:1 widescreen transfer that is not anamorphically enhanced. Colors are dull, shimmers are apparent in nearly every scene, grain is apparent throughout. This has to be one of the worst DVD transfers ever, which is a shame considering how great a movie it is.
