Empire Review Boy does Ginger Snaps - 3.25 out of 5  (10/1/2001) GINGER SNAPS is going to be known as the horror find film of this year. It's pretty enough, it's clever enough and doggone it, I liked it. In fact, I liked it so much, I won't even go off on my usual rant about fullscreen, nor will I stoop so low as to make some inane comment about GINGER SNAPS being the perfect recipe for a horror movie. Okay, I lied about that part. I will stoop so low. But only to bring up the fact that GINGER SNAPS is one cup AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON, two tab   more >> Customer Review Dark humor and an original take on werewolf movies - 3.75 out of 5  (11/8/2004) This has got to be my favorite movie of all time.The acting and writing are what set this movie apart from all the others.Darkly humoris and original i give the film 5 out of 5 .The only bad thing i hve to say about it is that the american dvd only has a bad trailer for special features if you any deleated sceans or director comentary you'll have to get the Canadian or UK dvd.   more >> Customer Review Awesome film, Sad DVD - 3 out of 5  (2/9/2004) Ginger Snaps, an amazinly-never seen Canadian horror film about two sisters dealing with an unlikely transformation is simultaniously funny, sad, and disturbing. Too bad then that Artisan has chosen to release this bare bones DVD in FULLSCREEN no less, skip the pain of this disc and find the Canadian Special Edition, definetly worth your time for this underappreciated gem!   more >> Customer Review OMG! - 3.5 out of 5  (1/16/2003) This has to be the best independant horror film I have ever seen, the acting is great, the story line is terrific, and the make-up rocks! these laidies did great for their first lead roles. Mimi rogers did excellent as well, her attitude is great as thier mother. The only bad thing I have to say is the features on this DVD! All you get is a trailer which isnt that bad, and "play movie" on the title, you dont even get to choose chapters, so if you wanted to leave and turn of the DVD player, youd   more >>
