Customer Review Good fantasy looks like crap - 3 out of 5  (5/20/1999) It is obvious why this movie has such a strong cult following, it is fantastic. It is a wonderful adventure with breathtaking scenery and a nice mix of fantasy. The features are plenty, the audio is only average. The video quality is some of the worst compression I have ever seen, terrible quality. If you can get past the video quality, you have a good movie.   more >> Customer Review Very... deceiving ! - 2.75 out of 5  (4/22/1999) Like I have read upper, I'm not the only one to think that the THX certification was given by error. How can a such poor transfer (the picture and the audio) can get such a certificate ? As for the features, they are not in a big quality too ! but they're okay ! Highlander is no longer the movie I saw when I was a kid : I grew old and the movie's still the same : lots of action a real good story... but Russel Mulcahy (or whatever) does not have any Idea of how to make a good movie. The music is   more >> Customer Review Great movie but about 25% of it looks like crap even under VHS standards. - 4 out of 5  (3/7/1999) Highlander is one of those movies that will be watched for years to come. It is too bad that they had to make sequels to it that were so bad. Somehow I don't understand making a PG-13 movie that is supposed to be about beheading other people. Anyway, Highlander is excellent and it started a long line of roles for Christopher Lambert. The Video in Highlander is the only problem that I have with this DVD but it is a mighty big one.
