Infinite Space. Infinite Terror
The year is 2047. Years earlier, the pioneering research vessel Event Horizon vanished without a trace. Now a signal from it has been detected, and the United States Aerospace Command responds. Hurtling toward the signal's source are a fearless captain (Laurence Fishburne), his elite crew and the lost ship's designer (Sam Neill). Their mission: find and salvage the state-of-the-art spacecraft. What they find is state-of-the-art interstellar terror. What they must salvage are their own lives, because someone or something is ready to ensnare them in a new dimension of unimaginable fear. Costarring Kathleen Quinlan.

Not really much of an event! - 3 out of 5 (7/21/2000)
"Event Horizon" is not really much of an event after you look at it.
At times, the film would seem to be a decent science fiction film which lapses into outright horror with nary an explanation. This in my opinion is the biggest crime of the movie: There is too much action and too little explanation.
The film also wastes a fine cast. Sam Neill who always seems at home in these types of films seems particularly miscast in a different role. The same could be said of the casting of Laurence

Great movie...disapointing dvd! - 4 out of 5 (6/9/2002)
The movies awsome..extremely scary, stylish and has pelnty of amazing FX!
The dvd on the other and is the usual Paramount disapointment when it comes to price & extra's. The pic & sound is ecellent as always..and the films in its original widescreen format as in theaters & looks great.
You'd think for the price($25) they ask for..you'd get something worthwhile right?
Guess they're to greedy to think so. All you get is the trailer..which you should consider yourselves lcky since quite
