The best Eddie Murphy - 4 out of 5 (2/14/2003)
The critics originally heralded BOOMERANG as the return of the kinder,
gentler Eddie Murphy and for once I have to agree with them.
And perhaps, that is why this film remains my favorite Eddie Murphy film.
He made the film shortly after the disastrous HARLEM KNIGHTS, for which he
got some of the worst criticism of his life for being sexist, racist and
worst of all: not a very good actor. The film that followed ANOTHER 48 HOURS
did little to offset those remarks.
