Beautiful scenery but tepid storyline - 3.25 out of 5 (2/7/1999)
This is one movie where you just want to pack your bags and head to the Caribbean's!! The scerery is breathtaking, the music funky and hip but unfortunately that's all it has to offer. It starts off well enough and the characters are fresh and funny. Angela Bassett does her best with her portrayal as a career driven woman of the 90's and newcomer Taye Diggs as her very young suitor plays his part with style, and good looks but it's Whoopi as Angela's best friend who steals the scenes with her

Good film and great sound. - 4.25 out of 5 (2/6/1999)
While this film seems unbelievable in parts, it was good and had great audio. The music enhances this film and it was very clean with a well articulated bass when present in the soundtrack. The 5.1 surround sound was unconvincing in parts and the music came primarily from the front speakers. The music was pleasant, however, and brought out the best of my home theater. The picture quality is among the best. Last, I must say that that Angela Bassett and Whoopi Goldberg gave top notch performances
