Wow - 5 out of 5  (8/27/2001)
There are some who look at SUSPIRIA as a film that is long on thrills and short on plot, and others that look at the film as one of the most perfect examples of the Italian Horror Cinema. The irony here is that both parties are, in some ways right. The plot is confusing, it tends to lean towards cheap shock effects and it does leave some puzzling questions afterwards, however it is also one of the most visually stunning pictures ever made. It can be said that Argento is an artist   more >>

SICK S%$# !!!!! - 4.5 out of 5  (7/21/2003)
Only for the strong-stomached. The first murder is extremely over-the-top and gruesome. Features, yes! 10/10. Movie, hmmmm. 6/10. Audio and Video, wow! 10/10.   more >>

SUSPIRIA is among the greatest horror films of all time and it took way too long to be available in the fantastic presentation it so richly deserved, and which Anchor Bay finally delivered. There are no words to describe how beautiful the picture looks. AB's remastering job on this one is the best I have ever seen, I kid   more >>

A great film - 5 out of 5  (11/12/2001)
Anyone who is a student of film should own this re-mastered genuine ground breaking masterpiece by Director Dario Argento and Cinematographer Luciano Tovoli. The viewer should remember that this film is over 25 years old. At that time there were no computer animated scenes - even the color was Technicolor - the old system of three negatives. It is said this was the last Technicolor film. And color is so important to the telling of this tale of ultimate horror. The score is integrated so profuse   more >>
