Empire Review Not one of the better ones out there - 2.5 out of 5  (12/27/2001) AENIGMA is one of Director Lucio Fulci's later efforts and it is not one of his better works. The film comes from a period where Fulci went straight to the gore punchline, which was in direct contrast with his earlier efforts, which told us suspense was the key to a horror film. The film takes its basic plot from some other familiar and better horror films.
