Customer Review What Went Wrong? - 2.5 out of 5  (2/13/2002) Boring, boring, boring. Clint Eastwood's climbing film effort is mediocre at best. I mean, I'm a huge Eastwood fan, but what was he thinking? This movie takes forever to get off the ground, and when it finally does it's very short-lived. You want a good climbing film? Check out CLIFFHANGER or VERTICAL LIMIT. THIS ONE WILL BE FORGOTTEN - 3 out of 5  (12/26/1998) EIGER SANCTION is an average spy movie directed by Clint Eastwood. Shot in 1975, it's one of the less interesting films Eastwood has directed during his career. The story, adapted from a book, is boring. Only the scenes of alpinism, in Arizona and Switzerland, are worth a look. The DVD transfer isn't very good. I'm sure that certain night scenes are better on VHS. A DVD produced by the Swiss Tourist Office.   more >>
