I hope The Lord Of The Rings is half as good! - 5 out of 5 (11/28/2001)
Every so often a movie will come along that sets the standard for all other films of that attempt to meet. In 1988, George Lucas and Ron Howard teamed up to create Willow, and set the bar at a level that I still feel has yet to be achieved by another fantasy film. Not only is this one of my favorite fantasy movies, I consider this one of Lucas's best productions outside of the aforementioned successful franchises.
The most glaring attack on WILLOW is that it is an inferior imita

Damn I love this movie - 4.75 out of 5 (7/20/2002)
Damn I love Ron Howard's image of this sci-fi fantasy. Done with all the right moves. This has to be owned for three reasons. The collaberation of George Lucas(Producer), Ron Howard(Director), and Val Kilmer(Actor) at their best. You problably already know why you should buy this movie.
The extra's are not too great. I do not think that Ron Howard has ever given his DVD collection any features. Backdraft, Gung Ho, Ransom are 3 other Ron Howard movies I own and there are no great features
