Prey For The Hunters
Michael Douglas and Val Kilmer star in this tense, terrific and true adventure set in 1896 East Africa. There, two lions on a man-eating rampage have shut down the construction of a railway. The beasts hunt together, showing no fear of man or fire. What's more, they're killing for sport rather than for food - and they have an almost supernatural knack for knowing what traps await them. Big-game hunter Remington (Douglas) and construction engineer Patterson (Kilmer) set out to stop these unstoppable monsters. But, in this astonishing tale of man against beast, the hunters become the hunted.

The Movie:
Based on the true story of two man eating lions in Africa, The Ghost and The Darkness, tells the story of the hunter and engineer who must stop them.
The premise of this movie as well as the way it plays out seems to take a bit of inspiration from "Jaws." They are both share many similarities. Although the movie isn't quite as good as "Jaws" it is still a suspenseful and entertaining film. Once again Michael Douglas gives a great performance as does Val Kilmer.

Wow, what a rollercoaster ride this movie is. I saw it several times in the theatre and many more times on video and DVD since. Easily this is one of Val Kilmer's best pieces. Michael Douglas is right on the money as well. The set they used for the movie was massive and beautiful, with so much eye candy. The Ghost And The Darkness is one of my favorite movies ever made for the simple fact that you will never see a movie even remotely similar to it. A must have for your DVD collection, and

The fact that this actually happened in real life is what makes thie film all the more terrifying.The acting is very good from both val and michael, but the real winner here is the suspense. The film never lets up, & will keep you wanting more! This is a must for any person who appreciates great movie making. BUY IT!!
