Empire Review Where's Bing Crosby? - 3 out of 5  (1/29/2001) Had "Spies Like Us" been made back in the fifties, it would have been a on the road movie. The producers make a big claim of this, even casting Bob Hope in a cameo. The film would have also qualified as an Inspector Clouseau movie in the seventies. Sadly peter Sellers could not make a cameo. John Landis directed the film based on a story by Dan Aykroyd and Dave Thomas. It stars Chevy Chase and Aykroyd as two idiots who want to get into the spy game. Avoid it until a more appropriate version is released.
