Brilliantly acted, haunting film. - 4.5 out of 5 (6/2/1999)
Easily the best adaptation of a Stephen King novel, this is a rare example of a film having more depth and character development than the book it was based on. Very dark and scary - 4 out of 5 (5/15/1999)
This is one of the best ways I have seen a story told. This movie has many flash backs telling you why this woman is crazy and why her daughter is messed up. It is very depressing and scary throughout, not once letting you go or making you want to stop watching. A very good psychological thriller.
The Disc has NO features, but it has a pretty low price. The video is flawless, but the audio is not remastered in 5.1.
I highly reccomend this, but be warned it is not a happy movie.
