One of America's favorite films of all time. This classic romantic drama stars Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman with an excellent supporting cast in a story of love, war, betrayal and sacrifice.
Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman light up the screen as Rick and Ilsa, former lovers briefly reunited in the chaos of war. He is a world-weary nightclub owner who "sticks his neck out for nobody" and she, a beautiful woman fleeing the Nazis with her Resistance-hero husband. Only Rick can help the pair escape...and only if Ilsa can reawaken the idealism she killed in him when she left him long ago.

Casablanca, forever! - 5 out of 5 (9/28/1999)
It was rated as the second best movie of the century, but for millions of movie lovers; Casablanca is and will always be the BEST. Great story, fantastic casts, memorable lines..... Casablanca has it all. If you are only going to own one DVD, this is the one; Gone with the wind will be your second.

Wow!!
This is really money well spent.
MGM has provided Casablanca with an excellent DVD transfer. The video and audio is astonishing considering the movie is nearly 60 yeas old and the disc also got some marvelous extra features.
Haven't you seen this movie.....BUY IT !!!
Everyone who like film should own this DVD.
This is truly one of the greatest movies ever made!

MGM Does it Again - 4.75 out of 5 (11/23/1998)
How does a 60 year-old movie wind up with a better transfer than many recent flicks? I don't know but MGM has manged to pull it off. One of the best movies of all time is now one of the best DVDs on the market. Highly recommended.
