Together for the first time, superstars Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts take a hilarious, action-packed tour south of the border with James Gandolfini (The Sopranos) in what People Magazine calls "a quirky romantic comedy with plenty of gunplay and intrigue."
Before reckless Jerry can make amends with Samantha, he has to take one more wild ride down to Mexico to pick up a priceless antique pistol and settle his debts. As things begin heating up with mob bosses and hit men, the action boils over with surprise twists and turns in the film Roger Ebert gives "Thumbs Up".

Better than I expected - 4.25 out of 5 (8/1/2001)
The most amazing thing about THE MEXICAN is that James Gandolfini manages to

And in the spirit of being fair, I'm not going to comment on much other
than the fact that he plays a hitman named Leroy who is assigned to keep
Samantha (Julia Roberts) company while Jerry does his job retrieving a
pistol called the MEXICAN from M

Awesome dvd,average film....... - 4.5 out of 5 (9/18/2001)
The Mexican was the movie I waited for dvd release, but I was only pleased
with the features of the dvd not the film.
It is about Jerry who cant do anything right and a gun called Mexican which he
pursues for his last mission for the mob.Well,in the film we watch Jerrys stupidity,
the abduction of his girlfriend Samantha by the mobs man so called gay Leroy
who is played by James Gondolfini. It is the best role in the film and he leaves
Brad and Julia under his shadow.

unforgiveable twist - 3.5 out of 5 (9/11/2001)
I loved this film. I really did. I loved it until I hated it. It is funny, sexy, controversial, original, and then it is a dreadful let down.
The performances are first-rate. Pitt and Roberts shine. The real star though is James Gandolfini playing the gay hitman; the premise sounds ridiculous and shallow, but it is played so well that his character is really what makes the film. The scene in the diner where Gandolfini comes out to Roberts is a classic. And this is really where the pr
