Stars Robin Williams in the role he was born to play: the irreverent, non-conformist deejay Adrian Cronauer. Imported by the Army for an early a.m. radio show, Cronauer blasts the formerly staid, sanitized airwaves with a constant barrage of rapid-fire humor and the hottest hits from back home. The G.I.s love him--but the brass is up in arms! Riddled with sidesplitting comic bombshells and studded with hot '60's hits, the film depicts Cronauer's raucous Saigon adventures amid a world gone mad.

Good Morning Vietnam (1987) - 3.25 out of 5 (11/12/1998)
The Movie:
It's 1965 and the Vietnam war is raging in Southeast Asia but its a DJ in Saigon that's getting all the attention. The GI's love his style but the commanders aren't so thrilled with his comedy.
Robin Williams stars in one of his comedy classics from the eighties, Good Morning Vietnam. This movie is vintage Williams and is a sidesplitting look at Saigon as Adrian Cronauer (Williams) shakes things up. Adrian Cronauer is the newest DJ in town and he doesn't like to play

A good mix of comedy and Drama - 3.5 out of 5 (6/10/1999)
This movie is very well written with a pretty good mix of laughs and drama. It doesn't always work because Robin Williams changes personalities too quickly in this film. Overall, it is a memerable movie.
The video and audio are satisfactory, but, as usual, Disney has put out a featureless disc.
A good way to spend 2 hours.
